Eco-Tours and Adventures
Sueño Azul Resort is set in the heart of Costa Rica, in the midst of a mosaic of mountains, plains, volcanoes, lakes, rivers, forests, fruit farms, and cattle ranches. Its proximity to nature and the rustic elegance of the resort make it an ideal location for Omega's winter holistic education programs and a perfect place for you to renew your connection with yourself and the world around you.
Just a two-hour drive from San José, the capital of Costa Rica—much of it through the spectacular Braulio Carrillo National Park—Sueño Azul is easy to reach; if you arrive at the airport and leave on our regularly scheduled Saturday arrival and departure days, free shuttles will pick you up and drop you off. And if you're having so much fun you can't bear to leave, extend your stay and receive $200 off each additional week.
Omega's winter program in Costa Rica runs for 9 weeks and offers more than 20 workshops to choose from. While staying at Sueño Azul, don't miss the opportunity to explore the area on organized excursions, most of which are included in your package price.
There are generous meal times and optional evening activities, and we provide plenty of time for relaxing by the pool, meeting other guests, or taking peaceful walks around the grounds. Sueño Azul's warm and friendly staff provides for your comfort while Omega's on-site representative takes care of your program's details.
Sueño Azul Waterfalls
Enjoy a swim in the natural pools of "las cascadas," one of the most beautiful spots at Sueño Azul. Travel along a three-mile trail by horseback, by mountain bike, on foot, or in a tractor-pulled cart to this hidden treasure. Right next to the cascades is an 8,000-square-foot swimming pool fed by the crystal clear rain forest river, and a pavilion for lunch and cool drinks. Sueño Azul's butterfly garden is nearby.
Canopy Zip-Line
Sueño Azul has its own canopy zip-line, offering guests one of the most exciting and visually stunning experiences available in Costa Rica. With 13 "stations" high in the trees of the jungle and with cable lines as high as 100 feet, you'll see the jungle canopy (where most of the jungle wildlife lives) as you've never seen it before.
Sarapiquí Boat Tour
Winding through a region known as the land of "eternal spring," you can see monkeys, toucans, iguanas, caimans, sloths, bats, and other creatures of the Costa Rican jungle on this relaxing boat tour down the Rio Sarapiquí, a national monument. Visit oasisnaturetours.com for more information.
Sueño Azul Rain Forest Tour Experience the amazing flora and fauna of the rain forest firsthand on Sueño Azul's own extensive network of trails. In addition to the natural wonders you'll see, a local nature guide brings the rain forest alive with sights, sounds, and stories.
Additional Excursions
Can't get enough of the natural beauty and culture of Costa Rica? Sueño Azul can arrange more excursions for you for an additional fee to take advantage of all this region has to offer—white-water rafting, a rain forest aerial tram, Arenal volcanic park and hot spring, a museum of indigenous cultures, the city of San José, the Biological Station at La Selva, a pineapple plantation, and other river tours or hikes.
