Many people want to create a personal spiritual practice they can integrate into their daily life, but are not sure how to go about it. In this workshop, Lench Archuleta and Peter Occhiogrosso present diverse spiritual practices from which we can create our own personal practice, emphasizing both Native American and Eastern traditions.
Archuleta teaches Native wisdom gleaned from his Yaqui heritage, offering practical ways to unravel the mysteries of who we are and how we relate to the spiritual realm. He focuses on the daily integration of ceremony and ritual and leads us through a shamanic journey to meet our power animal and/or spirit guide.
Occhiogrosso teaches Eastern wisdom and meditation practices that connect body, mind, and spirit. We explore basic breathing techniques from Tibetan and Indian yoga that help generate energy and increase body awareness. We also learn physical exercises from the qigong tradition of China, including animal-inspired forms that unite us with the natural world while cultivating spirit.
Together, Archuleta and Occhiogrosso explain how to create a sacred space in our home to facilitate our personal spiritual practice.
Lench Archuleta is a Yaqui Indian and native healer from Southern Arizona who has worked with individuals and small groups in the Sonoran Desert for more than 20 years. He collaborates with medical doctors, health practitioners, therapists, and other healers as a counselor, consultant, advisor, and spiritual guide. windspiritteaching.com
