In this exciting camp, we use the Omega campus as our canvas. We explore our inner creativity as we make photo essays that document the diverse activities and special energy of Family Week. Each day, we explore campus with our cameras and assignments to help us become photojournalists, while learning about camera angles; light and shadow; perspective; composition; and how to incorporate feelings, fun, and beauty into our work. We project our work on a screen in our studio, and invite group critiques. We also incorporate into the workshop special Omega highlights, such as yoga, dancing, and paddling. The camp culminates in a slide show highlighting the group's photography, presented to all Family Week participants in the Main Hall.
Bring your point-and-shoot digital camera, at least 2 GB of memory cards, a 2 GB thumb drive (if possible), and backup batteries. $25 materials fee for underwater camera, film developing, and end of course DVD; include when you register.
